Following LSU’s second straight Southeastern Conference Championship, the league announced its end of the season awards. 
The All-SEC team is given out to the top two scores, including ties, on each event and the all-around from both sessions of the SEC Championship. All-Freshman honors are given to the top freshman scores from the championship. 
Finnegan named SEC Gymnast of the Year
LSU junior all-arounder Sarah Finnegan becomes the sixth LSU gymnast to win SEC Gymnast of the year, joining April Burkholder, Ashleigh Clare-Kearney, Susan Jackson and Rheagan Courville.
Earlier this season, she joined Burkholder as the only other gymnast in school history to score perfect 10s on three different events. 
Finnegan won the SEC all-around title after posting a 49.500 at the SEC Championship meet. 
A regular season All-American in all four events, Finnegan is the first gymnast in LSU history to finish the season ranked first on bars in the RQS. She anchored LSU’s first-ranked bars lineup with an RQS of 49.580. 
She is ranked No.1 in the nation on bars, No.4 on beam and all-around and No.7 on floor.
In the SEC, Finnegan ranked No. 1 on bars, beam and the all-around. She also ranks second on floor and ninth on vault.
Six LSU gymnasts named All-SEC performers
A school record six Tigers gymnasts were named to the All-SEC team this season.  
Finnegan was named to the All-SEC team, along with freshman Christina Desiderio, sophomore Kennedi Edney, freshman Sarah Edwards, senior Myia Hambrick and junior Lexie Priessman.
Edwards and Edney both scored 9.90 on to tie for the honor on vault. Hambrick, Edney and Priesman also scored 9.90 on bars for the honor. Desiderio and Priessman both scored 9.875 on floor. 
Finnegan concluded the honors by winning the all-around at 39.500. 
Six All-SEC performers is the most by any team in the league. 
Trio of gymnasts named to the SEC All-Freshman team
Three Tigers were also named to the All-Freshman team to tie a school record. 
All-arounder Sami Durante joins Edwards and Desiderio on the SEC All-Freshman Team. 
Durante scored a 9.85 on bars to receive the honors.
