LSU’s National Pan-Hellenic Council presented the 2018 New Member Presentation on March 18th in the Cotillion Ballroom.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated is composed of nine Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.LSU has currently has five of the nine NPHC organizations.
LSU’s NPHC hosts many throughout the school year, which includes the annual New Member Presentation. This year, the ladies dominated the probate as the Eta Kappa Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the Rho Epsilon Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority incorporated both presented their Spring 18’ lines. Friends, family, students, and fellow greek organizations gathered to see these ladies begin their journey in a lifetime sisterhood.
The mission of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. mission is to “cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of ‘Service to All Mankind’.”
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. “espouses the highest academic ideals and that has resulted in its members serving in groundbreaking roles in all fields of endeavor. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is poised for perpetual service to mankind into her second century and beyond.”
These ladies have worked relentlessly to become apart of their organizations and as members they will provide leadership and service for the community. Congratulations to all of the new members.
