There seems to be a trend this week regarding local law changes, because the East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council eliminated jail time as a possible penalty for people convicted of possessing less than 14 grams of marijuana.
Tiger TV’s Lauren Cochran went out to see what Baton Rouge students think of these new polices.
Those convicted in city court will now only be required to pay a fine ranging from $40 to $100, depending on how many previous marijuana offenses they have.
