A woman was arrested in March for stealing a graduation diploma from a University student during an LSU graduation ceremony in December, according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard.
Bianca White participated in the entire graduation process and took a purple diploma cover and a graduation diploma that belonged to another student, according to the arrest report from East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. White was arrested for theft, unlawful production, manufacture, distribution or possession of fraudulent postsecondary education degree after participating in a graduation ceremony in December, according to Ballard. White replaced the stolen diploma with a forged diploma document into the cover making it appear that she had successfully earned a degree from the University, according to the arrest report.
White was allowed to leave the PMAC with the fake diploma and cover after being confronted. She said she had given the other student’s diploma to another person before being confronted, according to the arrest report.
White is not a student or affiliated with the University, according to Ballard.
