Junior RF Antoine Duplantis was 3-for-5 Saturday night as the Tigers’ bats came alive for the second night in a row to defeat the visiting Tennessee Volunteers 14-5.
Duplantis also scored a run and had 3 RBIs.
After the game Duplantis talked about being Freshman SP Ma’Khail Hilliard and the Tigers’ inability to provide Hilliard substantial run support throughout the season.
“He [Hilliard] has been throwing really well and he hasn’t really had much to show for it in the Win-Loss column (now 7-2),” Duplantis said.
The Tigers go for the sweep Sunday at The Box at 4 p.m.
