A massive fire broke out at the Brightside Apartment Complex early Tuesday morning.
No injuries have been reported but local authorities say the area where the fire started is a total loss. Officials with the Baton Rouge Fire Department say the flames were contained to one unit.
The cause of the fire remains unknown however the apartment owner says he was cooking at the time of the fire. He and his dog escaped out of a window.
