LSU held another scrimmage on April 14th as the Tigers prepare for their spring game next Saturday, and Tigers’ Head Coach Ed Orgeron felt the team had its best practice to date. 
“I wanted a day where the offense and the defense both had great days, and I think today it happened,” Coach Orgeron said. 
In the scrimmage, Lowell Narcisse completed seven out of ten passes for 143 yards, his best game performance to date, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire ran for 109 yards on 18 carries and five touchdowns, most of which came at the goal line. 
Coach Oregeron says the Tigers still have much work to do implementing the new offense, saying the team will only have about 35 percent complete at the end of spring camp. However, Coach Orgeron has been pleased with the offense’s development in the passing game, and he credits wide receiver coach Jerry Sullivan for the passing game’s growth. 
“Jerry’s a confidant of mind. I love having him around, and he’s just wonderful for our staff. He’s a professional. He’s always teaching, always coaching,” Coach Orgeron noted.
Although Coach Orgeron was pleased with the defense’s performance, the team will still be getting aid in the defensive back field with former Stanford corner back Terrance Alexander joining the Tigers.”
“Obviously, we’re excited about him because he played in games. He has experience. He’s fast, very smart young man wanting to study already, motivated, mature. We’re going to give him a chance to start but he’s going to have to earn it.”
