Producer of the SEC Network Baton Rouge site, Lee Scioneaux, is an LSU alumnus who now works for his alma mater producing sports broadcast on a daily basis. Being a lover of LSU sports, Scioneaux couldn’t be more happy with his current position and encourages students to do whatever they can to get experience in their field early.
Scioneaux shares that a lot more work goes into producing a sports broadcast than the audience realizes.
“Everyday is a little bit different,” Scioneaux said. “But on a game day…pretty much the whole day is setting up control rooms. We will always have a minimum of at least two control rooms going on at one time.”
Nothing beats producing football games for this LSU Tiger fan, but Scioneaux also enjoys producing softball and baseball in the Spring.
“There’s just something about being able to get the crowd elated,” said Scioneaux. “When you’re in Tiger Stadium in a group that big, the energy permeates through it and you can see that through the lense.”
