Baton Rouge Fire Department officials responded to a two-alarm fire at Brightside Manor on Tuesday morning. BRFD spokesman Curt Monte said the fire is now contained and no injuries were reported. 
One person was inside the unit at the time of the fire, and jumped out of the second story window with his puppy, according to Monte. 
Monte said the fire was contained to Apartment A, however apartment B did receive some water damage. 
Monte said that apartment A is “a total loss.”
