LSU is preparing for another run to try and capture the program’s first national title, and after back-to-back runner up performances, the Lady Tigers feel their familiarity with the championship environment will help them in the 2018 nationals. 
“At this point, yeah. We’ve been here so many times. I guess that’s a good thing. I guess that we’re used to it. We’re comfortable there,” senior Myia Hambrick said. 
“We’re excited about going back, and even in practice, we’ve talked to the kids about picturing yourself on that podium. Know what you’re going to see. Know what the end point of that skill is. We’re able to do that, but so can Florida, so can Alabama. There’s just a whole lot of advantages to being able to travel as well as we do,” LSU Head Coach D-D Breaux said of the Lady Tigers’ past visits to championship weekends. 
Additionally, the purple and gold have had success this year despite key injuries like McKenna Kelley and Lexie Priessman, and the freshman class has been a key component. 
“That just shows you the depth that we do have on this team because we always say, when person goes down, the next person’s up. I think everyone definitely stepped up their game, and made the best that they could,” junior Sarah Finnegan commented on LSU’s productivity through injury. 
“Christina Desiderio, Reagan Campbell, Sarah Edwards. I mean for them to be on an all-freshmen team, for them to have the kind of accolades that they’ve received. We told them early in the season ‘you’re not here to fill in somebody’s shoes. You’re here to walk in your own shoes,’ and I think they’ve done that,” Coach Breaux commented on the freshmen Lady Tigers. 
LSU will be leaving Wednesday at noon to head Saint Louis to make another run at that first national title.
