After LSUPD identified a person of interest in the investigation, that person resigned from his position at the University, according to Ballard. The case is still under investigation as LSUPD is still awaiting lab results.

LSUPD is investigating a report of an employee possibly being poisoned at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, according to Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard.
Authorities were called to the vet school Wednesday morning, where an employee was evaluated by Emergency Medical Services. Ballard said the employee was taken to a local clinic for further examination.
