LSU started their game against UNO like they did against Notre Dame in the Tigers’ first series of the season.
LSU trailed Notre Dame 3-0 in the first inning when head coach Paul Mainieri made a piching change. After the switch, the Tigers only gave up six more runs throughout the rest of the game.
LSU’s offense also began to work, including to back-to-back four run innings. Hal Hughes started at short stop in place of Josh Smith and played well, going 2-for-4 with one double, one run, two RBIs and a sac bunt that he was able to get to first base on.
The Tigers next match up is Friday, February 23rd, as LSU begins its series against the Texas Longhorns.
