Both the men and lady Tigers finished at the top of the leaderboard in the 60m dash and hurdles finals at the LSU Twilight meet.
Lady Tiger Kortnei Johnson and Tiger Akanni Hislop both finished 1st in the 60m dash finals with times of 7.25 seconds and 6.82 seconds respectively. Hislop’s time was also a personal best. Hislop also won the 200m dash with a time of 21.6 seconds.
Following right behind Johnson was junior Rachel Misher who finished with a time of 7.35 seconds.
Juniors Chris Lewis and Correion Mosby also finished right behind Hislop with times of 6.84 and 6.85 seconds respectively. Mosby’s time of 6.85 seconds tied a personal best.
In the women’s 60m hurdles, sophomore Brittley Humphrey, freshmen Milan Young and freshmen Jurnee Woodward finished 1-2-3 with times of 8.18, 8.26, and 8.42 seconds.
The men also had a good showing in the 60m hurdles, with freshmen Damion Thomas taking 1st place with a time of 7.90 seconds. Junior Arthur Price also finished 3rd with a time of 7.99 seconds, a personal best for him.
The other half of the men’s and women’s squads will run Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend at 10 a.m.
