LSU senior all-arounder Myia Hambrick* was named Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week following No. 3 LSU’s 197.225-196.700 win over No. 6 Kentucky.
Friday night, Hambrick won the floor, beam and all-around titles. She posted a career high 39.700 in the all-around and tied her career of 9.975 on floor.
Hambrick is in the top-15 in four events this season. She is ranked No.1 in the nation on floor, with five event titles this season and an average score of 9.96.
Hambrick is also ranked seventh in the all-around, ninth on bars and 15th on beam.
This is Hambrick’s second Gymnast of the Week honor, and the team’s fourth this season. Junior Sarah Finnegan owns the other two Gymnast of the Week honors, while freshman Sami Durante was named freshman of the week following her career high 9.90 on bars against Alabama.
The Tigers travel to Colombia on Friday to take on No. 24 Missouri at 7:30 p.m.
