Tune in to The Kennedi Show, every Sunday from 5 – 6 PM for the latest in local, national and LSU news.
This year Kennedi Walker became the first African American News Director on record for KLSU 91.1 FM. She oversees a team of reporters and hosts The Kennedi Show, KLSU’s only hour for news commentary.
Walker is a junior mass communication major with a concentration in broadcast journalism from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Walker’s favorite aspect of Broadcast Journalism is getting to know people and putting their story out to the public. “I’m a people’s person and I love to help, so to be able to provide a platform for people to tell their story is truly amazing,” Walker says.
Walker is passionate about the Journalism field and aspires to be a national reporter and one day be the host of her own talk show.
Walker is also a News Anchor and Reporter for Tiger TV and previously wrote for the Daily Reveille and The Odyssey. This summer Walker was the youngest intern at Louisiana’s number one news station, WWL-TV. She previously worked for WBRZ-TV.
