“The Haunting of Hill House,” Netflix
Sure, Halloween has come and gone, but we don’t think it’s ever too late for some good old-fashioned spooks. If you’re a fan of horror, you’ll definitely want to check out Netflix’s critically-acclaimed series “The Haunting of Hill House” – it’s been praised by many as the best horror TV show in years, if not ever. The series follows the Crains, a seemingly ordinary family that moves into the titular Hill House. Jumping back and forth between the family’s stay in the house and its present-day struggles with the trauma the house instilled in each of its members, “The Haunting of Hill House” is an undeniably innovative take on the age-old haunted house trope. Internet superstar-turned-musician Joji has finally blessed us with his debut album “BALLADS 1.” Following up on his wildly successful “In Tongues EP,” Joji’s first full-length studio effort delivers more of the lo-fi instrumentals and infectious melodies fans have come to expect from him. The long-anticipated conclusion to Netflix’s dark political drama “House of Cards” is finally here. Of course, its final season hasn’t arrived without its fair share of controversy, but the good news is that Robin Wright has filled in as the show’s leading woman. If you’ve followed along with the Underwoods’ trials and tribulations thus far, you’ll want to see what it’s all been building toward.
