Former LSU coach Les Miles has emerged as a frontrunner for the head coach position at Kansas, according to the Athletic’s Bruce Feldman.
Feldman tweeted there is “momentum gaining” between Miles and the university after the university confirmed it would fire current head coach David Beaty at the end of the season.
Miles was fired in 2016 after starting the season 2-2 including a down-to-the-wire loss at Auburn.
Beaty was 6-39 as a head coach at Kansas while Miles was 114-34 in his 12-year career at LSU.
