White Light Night was held this past Friday showcasing works of local artists.
At the festival there was Shantell Gomez who turned deceased butterflies into art. When asking what made her begin her business she said, “I normally just found butterflies and I wasn’t going to let this go to waste”.
There was also blown glass art on display at the event by Adrien Connangle. He later stated that all of his art is done in his spare time. However, he said during the day he blows glass for the chemistry department at LSU.
LSU was also being represented by Madison Buratt who was displaying her art as well. Madison is a fashion design major and graduates in May.
One local high school student said that it is beautiful to see up-and-coming artists sharing their work and receiving the local support they deserve.
