Activities have been halted for the LSU Pi Beta Phi sorority by its national organization for potential hazing violations, according to Christian Wargo, the communications director for Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women. The organization has launched an investigation.
Wargo said the organization believes no one was harmed and no alcohol was involved.
“The chapter is cooperating with local and headquarters authorities to address these concerns,” Wargo said. “During this time, chapter activities have halted to allow full attention to this matter.”
LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard said the University has entered their investigative process.
This is the third time a Greek organization at the University has been under investigation. The Pi Kappa Phi and Delta Chi fraternities received interim suspensions earlier this semester from the University for reports of misconduct.
