LSU’s 19-3 victory over Mississippi State left the teams close in time of possession, total yards and number of first downs, but the Bulldogs had four turnovers in comparison to the Tigers’ one.
Defenders John Battle, Michael Divinity Jr. and Grant Delpit all had interceptions and the defense as a whole held Fitzgerald to just 59 yards passing.
On the other side of the ball, special teams not only accounted for 13 of LSU’s 19 points, but Zach Von Rosenberg’s seven punts pushed the Bulldogs back 306 yards.
The Tigers will face Alabama on November 3rd in Death Valley.
