ESPN’s College GameDay is headed to Baton Rouge.
No. 4 LSU is set to face No. 1 Alabama at Tiger Stadium next Saturday at 7 p.m. on CBS.
ESPN announced on Twitter that the GameDay crew will be on hand in The Quad from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. before the game.
This will be the first time this season and 27th overall time LSU will be featured on College GameDay. LSU is 15-11 in games in which ESPN’s College GameDay is on campus.
It is also the tenth time that the LSU-Alabama matchup will be featured on the program, which is the most of any matchup with Miami-Florida State and Florida-Florida State in second with seven meetings each.
In those instances when College GameDay is at LSU-Alabama, LSU is 0-4 in Baton Rouge, 2-2 in Tuscaloosa and 0-1 in bowl games.
LSU was featured twice during the 2016 season, in a season-opening matchup with Wisconsin at Lambeau Field and against No. 1 Alabama the last time the Crimson Tide was in Baton Rouge.
The Tigers were last featured on College Gameday in 2016, when LSU fell 10-0 to Alabama in Death Valley.
