Dug into the archives tonight to celebrate 30 years of Sonic Youth’s Daydream Nation…how lucky that this week’s P&P falls on this anniversary! We revisited the tail end of the North American DDN tour w/ “The Sprawl” and “Teenage Riot” at CBGB’s, a “Candle” from 1993 in Portugal, and a #rare “Total Trash” from the 20th anniversary front-to-back concerts.
Remembering Takehisa Kosugi in the second hour with an brain-melting side from Taj-Mahal Travelers. The Travelers experiments blended into Bang! Bros as they undertook 12 shows in 12 cities in 12 hours back on 12/12/12.
First hour had two new tracks from Connecticut’s Mountain Movers…their new record rules… Finally, making an appearance later in the night, we had the Ambarchi / Campbell / Flower trio, far-out Velvety goodness, like Cale never left…
