This week on the Easter Egg we have NieR. NieR is a hack and slash JRPG made by Cavia and Square Enix in 2010. You follow the story of Nier a man who is searching for the cure for his daughter’s disease. You pick up a ragtag group of misfits to help you in your journey and end up going through a completely insane story arc. I know a lot of those previous sentences sounds cliche as hell but this game is remarkably unique in its story and it is worth playing through the game just to experience the stories of Nier, Kaine, and Emil. The soundtrack to NieR is fantastic. Sweeping orchestral tracks and haunting melodies follow you throughout the game and many of them are accompanied by ethereal vocals(courtesy of Emi Evans) in multiple languages. NieR, while just acceptable in its gameplay, manages to rise above due to its wonderful story and music.
