LSU debuted a new offense and a consistently dominant defense in a 33-17 win over Miami on Sunday.
Following the win, the Tigers (1-0) rose 14 spots in the AP Poll and 9 spots in the Coaches Poll to sit at No. 11 and No. 15 respectively.
Nine spots is LSU’s biggest rise in the Coaches Poll since 1991 when the Tigers jumped from No. 21 to No. 12.
Miami dropped No. 21 in the Coaches Poll and No. 22 in the AP Poll.
LSU play Southeastern Louisiana in its home opener on Sat. Sept. 7 at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
