It’s a Friday night in Baton Rouge. The lights are shining down on Nick Brossette in a University Lab School uniform, across the sidelines from Clyde Edwards-Helaire decked out in Catholic High orange.
Flash forward a few years and the two running backs are both suited up in purple and gold.
But not only are they teammates -they’re family.
“Nick and Clyde? Oh, they’re like brothers,” Coach O said. “They pull for each other. That’s how this team ought to be.”
This duo made a huge contribution against Louisiana Tech. The two contributed to a combined thirty points of LSU’s 38.
Brossette had an especially impressive performance tonight with three touchdowns for 78 yards.
“Nick does a great job of running on track and finding a hole,” Coach O said. “I’m a huge Nick Brossette fan.”
This duo returns to Death Valley next weekend against Ole Miss in a late night 8:15 p.m. kickoff.
“That’s like my little brother,” former high school rivals and LSU RBs grow together like family
