Data has shown that there is only a slight correlation in determining how well students will perform in college based on just their standardized test scores.
There are also many other factors that go into determining how well students will take their standardized tests, because of this, LSU has changed their admission policy to not automatically reject a student that’s scored below a 22 on the ACT.
Data has shown that a student’s GPA and overall grades in high school better represents how they will perform in college.
LSU will finally join the ranks of Louisiana universities like Loyola and Tulane that has made this change to their admissions policy.
