Sean-Paul Gott and Ryan Isto, two of the former University students facing hazing charges for the death of freshman pledge Maxwell Gruver, allegedly hazed another student the week prior, according to East Baton Rouge Parish Assistant District Attorney Morgan Johnson.
Gott and Isto allegedly forced another University student to drink until he vomited and passed out on Sept. 6, 2017, just seven days before the incident that led to Gruver’s death. Johnson presented this evidence in a prosecutor’s court filing Monday.
Isto and Gott, along with Patrick Forde face charges of misdemeanor hazing, while Matthew Naquin faces charges of negligent homicide for Gruver’s death.
