A car struck multiple students standing on the sidewalk as a result of a traffic collision on Nicholson and Skip Bertman drives around 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 24, according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard.
Four of the pedestrians, all students, were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.
Two of the injured students work for Tiger TV in the Office of LSU Student Media.
Jodi Symone Reed, a 22-year-old sociology student from Houston, was the driver and was cited for failure to yield and careless operation of a vehicle, Ballard said.
The incident marked the second collision that occurred during the first week of school. Both collisions involved students walking on campus.
