We celebrate three major birthdays this week: Alice Coltrane + Sonny Sharrock (born on the same day just three years apart), and Sterling Morrison. Sunwatchers follow behind Alice Coltrane (they’re known to perform a cover of Mrs. Coltrane’s “Ptah, The El Daoud”), and Galaxie 500 pays tribute to Holmes Sterling Morrison, Jr. with “Tugboat” later in the evening.
