A University student has been arrested in the attack of a student near the Parade Ground on Saturday.
Camden Marcotte, 20, of 45 Harding Street, Dartmouth, Mass., has been arrested for hitting an 18-year-old female student from behind and then fleeing the scene, according to LSU Police.
Marcotte has been charged with simple robbery because a necklace the victim was wearing was pulled off during the attack, according to LSUPD. The necklace was later found at the scene.
LSUPD said Marcotte was arrested after he was seen walking into an unnamed residence hall via security cameras.
