Editor’s note: Candidates in the runoff are listed by number of votes received, highest being first. Candidates who failed to make the runoff are listed after that by the same criteria.
Cody Wells and Kathleen Bordelon will face David Jones and Kacey Brister in a runoff next week for Student Government president and vice president.
Wells and Bordelon headline the “Together LSU” campaign, while Jones and Brister lead the “Defining Our Future” ticket.
Wells-Bordelon garnered 48.7 percent of votes with 2,879, while Jones-Brister picked up 29.7 percent at 1,755 votes.
Failing to make the runoff were Aaron Caffarel and Alli Robison, as well as Jarrett Richard and Garrett Dupre. Caffarel-Robison acquired 973 votes for 16.5 percent, and Richard-Dupre pulled in 301 votes for 5.1 percent.
