The LSU baseball team (17-7, 1-5) dropped from No. 11 to No. 17 in the Baseball America poll after going 1-3 last week, including a midweek loss to Louisiana-Lafayette.
Vanderbilt took the No. 1 spot from Florida, which fell to No. 4 after losing two of three weekend games against South Carolina. The Gamecocks jumped a spot to No. 3.
Alabama rose into the national rankings at No. 25 after going 5-0 last week, extending its winning streak to seven games.
The Tigers dropped all the way from No. 9 to No. 25 in the Collegiate Baseball poll and from No. 10 to No. 16 in the USA TODAY coaches’ poll.
