A weekend sweep against then-No. 6 Cal State Fullerton (8-6) pushed the LSU baseball team (15-1) into the top 10 of the Baseball America poll from No. 16 up to No. 8.
The Tigers also moved from No. 7 to No. 5 in the Collegiate Baseball poll and from No. 8 to No. 7 in the USA TODAY poll.
Florida (14-2) remained No. 1 in the Baseball America poll after going 4-1 last week and will put its ranking on the line against the Tigers at Alex Box Stadium this weekend.
Southeastern Conference rivals Vanderbilt (16-1) and South Carolina (11-2) remained in the No. 2 and No. 4 spots, respectively.
