The “Rally at the Capitol” today has been canceled, according to “EducateLA” spokesman and former SG President J Hudson.
The crawfish the student activist group had purchased will be distributed at several buildings across campus — first at some Greek houses, then at on-campus churches, then nearby apartments.
Hudson said the group would use the opportunity to spread the group’s anti-budget-cut message.
The rally was originally planned to take place on the steps of the State Capitol.
Hudson said about 10 students showed up at the Capitol, and the small group went inside to talk to legislators about higher education funding.
