The search committee tasked to choose a new dean of the Manship School of Mass Communication has invited five interviewees to campus, according to a memo sent to faculty.
The candidates include:
-Jerry Ceppos, Dean of the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno
-Peter Kovacs, Managing Editor of the New Orleans Times-Picayune
-David Kurpius, current Manship Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Administration
-Scott Shamp, Professor and Director of the New Media Institute at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia.
-Alan Stavitsky, Senior Associate Dean at the School of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon.
