Need a condom? The University has you covered.
Multiple locations on and around campus offer condoms — some for low prices or even for free.
Both the Ra Shop on Highland Road and the LSU Women’s Center, located in 307 Hatcher Hall, offer free condoms, and students can buy six condoms for $1 at the Student Health Center pharmacy.
In addition, the SHC’s Health Promotions Office offers free condoms packaged with information about sexual health. Non-latex condoms are also available for those with latex allergies.
The Health Promotions office also serves to educate students on sexual health, said Health Promotions Coordinator Ashley Granger. As a result, the office distributes two condoms per packet of information.

Granger explained condoms are offered at a low cost because they potentially benefit students’ sexual health.
Condoms are also available at other on-campus locations. Outtakes at The 459 Commons offers $3.39 three-condom packs. Take 5 next to The 5 dining hall also offers Trojan varieties at $2.59 per three-condom pack. The Student Union’s eCommons, located in the LSU Bookstore, offers Trojan condoms for $3.29.
Condoms offered on campus also benefit students because they include reliable brands like Trojan, Durex and Lifestyles.
Despite low-cost availability, students buy condoms spanning a larger variety, which are sometimes more expensive. Economics junior Hayden Peairs said he thinks the media draws people to buy these condoms.
“They see all these commercials that make them seem enticing,” Peairs said. “They buy them instead of getting free normal ones they don’t
