There’s no denying the high expectations placed on the LSU women’s basketball team.
During the summer, just months after she was hired, incoming LSU coach Nikki Caldwell guaranteed Tiger fans her squad would find its way back to the NCAA tournament this season after missing out last year for the first time in 13 years.
If Wednesday’s matchup with Georgetown was any indication, Caldwell’s expectations may not be too lofty. No. 20 LSU (2-0) outduelled the No. 14 Hoyas (1-2), 51-40, in the PMAC.
