Two students asleep in parking lot caught with drugs, paraphernalia
Two University students were arrested Nov. 10 and charged with possession of drugs and paraphernalia, among other charges, after LSU Police Department officers discovered them asleep in a parked vehicle, said Capt. Cory Lalonde, LSUPD spokesman.
LSUPD officers saw a vehicle parked and running by West Campus Apartments and Alaska Street around 8:30 a.m., Lalonde said. They found two people asleep inside, William J. Mize II, 18, of 522 Cambridge Village Drive in Humble, Texas, and Zoe S. Booth, 18, of 9948 Powell Lane in Denham Springs. Both are University students.
Lalonde said Mize showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for a DWI after a field sobriety test. Officers found a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana in Mize’s pocket and an open container in his vehicle.
Officers also found four unprescribed Vyvanse pills in Booth’s possession, Lalonde said.
Booth and Mize were booked at East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
