LSU has already given up one more touchdown to Western Kentucky tonight than it did to Alabama last weekend.
While the Tigers lead 14-7 at halftime, it was a slow start for LSU.
A 59-yard bomb from senior quarterback Jordan Jefferson, who is starting his first game of the year, to junior wide receiver Reuben Randle put LSU on the board first.
Western Kentucky responded with a scoring drive of their own, driving down the field for a touchdown.
The Hilltoppers have doubled the Tigers’ time of possession, owning 20:01 minutes of play, while LSU has only had the ball for 9:59 minutes.
Senior quarterback Jarrett Lee hasn’t seen the field so far.
Jefferson has completed six-of-ten passes for 139 yards and one touchdown.
The Tigers put together their first solid drive of the game late in the second quarter. The drive culminated in a 1-yard touchdown run from freshman running back Kenny Hilliard.
