4:51 p.m. — The LSU Facebook page administrator responded in a comment saying the attacks were not obscene, but there were hundreds of posts.
These posts are still piling up behind the filters posted, said the administrator.
4:44 p.m. — The LSU Facebook page was spammed this afternoon by supporters of the Syrian president, Bahar al-Assad.
The administrator acknowledged the attack at 4:40 p.m. in a wall post. The administrator said filters have been activated and the hackers’ posts have been hidden.
“The LSU Facebook page is open to all points of view,” the administrator said in a wall post. “But the University will not allow spamming attacks.”
