(AP) — The lawyer for suspended LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson has filed a motion seeking the return of property that police took from the player’s apartment during the investigation of a bar fight that led to Jefferson’s arrest.
Defense attorney Lewis Unglesby also is asking the court for a copy of an affidavit outlining probable cause for the search warrant.
A judge has set a hearing on Monday in East Baton Rouge Parish district court to consider the motions.
Jefferson and reserve linebacker Josh Johns were booked with second-degree battery for allegedly beating a man in a parking lot outside a bar near campus.
