After a slow start that only saw LSU leading 7-3 at the end of the first quarter, the Tigers exploded in the second quarter to take a 28-3 halftime lead over Northwestern State.
Quarterback Jarrett Lee has connected on 9 of 10 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.
Receiver Rueben Randle has racked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown on four passes so far, after only one notching reception in last week’s game against Oregon.
The Tigers defense has held Northwestern State to only 60 yards of total offense. Defensive tackle Michael Brockers also reeled in a diving interception to set up an LSU touchdown.
