Baton Rouge Police Department is pursuing a suspect who was involved in an armed robbery at the Chase Bank on State Street on Tuesday afternoon.
The suspect was last seen fleeing in the direction of West Campus Apartments, according to a campus alert on the LSU website.
Students received an emergency text message about the incident at approximately 5:15 p.m., which warned them to avoid the State Street area.
The suspect is a black male, approximately 5-foot-10 and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, according to the emergency text.
