The LSU Police Department has created a Community Outreach Committee in hopes of making the department more approachable.
The committee, implemented in June, will allow officers to be more involved in the community with many events being planned for the school year, including on-campus bicycle registration opportunities in September, said Sgt. Marshall Walters, committee chair.
