An armed robbery was reported at Maestri Drive and Highland Road early Wednesday morning.
The suspect fled the scene along Highland. He is reported to be carrying a revolver.
Students received an emergency text message at approximately 3 a.m. warning them to stay away from the area.
The suspect is a black male, approximately 5-foot-9, and wearing a purple LSU shirt, according to the emergency text message.
