Tiger Stadium once again lived up to the billing this past fall as one of the most raucous venues in the country.
LSU was ranked No. 8 in both accumulated attendance (649,023) and average attendance (92,746) in the latest NCAA attendance figures, which were released Thursday.
The highest Southeastern Conference team in terms of accumulated and average attendance was No. 4 Alabama, with 712,747 and 101,82, respectively. Tennessee came in at No. 6 in both, while Auburn was No. 7 in accumulated attendance (688,692) and Georgia was No. 7 in average attendance (92,746).
Three Big 10 teams were ranked ahead of Alabama as Michigan claimed the top spot with an average attendance of 111,825, followed by Ohio State (105,278) and Penn State (104,234).
