Third place never seemed so productive. The LSU gymnastics team placed third out of four teams Saturday at the Metroplex Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas, but posted a season-high score of 195.550. Freshman Sarie Morrison paced the Tigers, scoring at least a 9.80 in every event and finishing third in the all-around competition. Her all-around total of 39.40 was a career-high for Morrison. Redshirt freshman Kaleigh Dickson also set a career-high all-around score with a 39.125. No. 6 Alabama won the tournament easily with a 196.825, while No. 10 Nebraska finished second with a 195.60. Unranked Missouri finished fourth with a 194.35. Follow Rowan Kavner on twitter@TDR_kavner —-
