Former LSU basketball coach John Brady has been recently joined by a familiar face at Arkansas State, according to Kent Lowe, LSU senior associate sports information director.
Dennis Harris, who was dismissed from the LSU basketball team a couple weeks ago for violating team rules, enrolled at Arkansas State on Monday to play for Brady.
The Jonesboro, Ga., native committed to Brady in the fall of 2007, but Brady was fired in the following months.
“We didn’t see it coming with Dennis, but with him making poor decisions here and there, he kind of brought it upon himself,” junior forward Garrett Green said about Harris’ dismissal from LSU.
LSU coach Trent Johnson said he wishes the best for Harris in the future.
The 6-foot-11-inch, 190-pound sophomore started nine games as a forward for the Tigers last season, averaging 4.6 points.
Harris can take the court again next spring, according to Lowe.
“He’ll be eligible the second semester because he has to sit out a full calendar year,” Lowe said.
