Donations for the Tigers for the Tide relief effort have not been delivered, according the Student Government Summer Planning Committee.
Though items were supposed to have been delivered June 8, SG Senate Speaker Pro Tempore Aaron Caffarel said organizers are having trouble finding volunteers to sort items because of the “sheer amount of donations.”
He said many senators are home for the summer, adding to the difficulty of finding volunteers.
Caffarel said Josh Dean, Volunteer LSU adviser, is in charge of getting the donations shipped out —  SG is merely responsible for sorting.
The Committee hopes to have the sorting situation fixed by Friday and hope to have the donations shipped in coming weeks.
