Student Government Senate passed 29 of 33 pieces of legislation this fall, trumping the output of the last two semesters.
Senate has shown its increasingly persistent efforts in voicing its constituents’ opinions on University related issues, according to Senate Speaker Aaron Caffarel.
Caffarel said the resolution to expand the University Recreation Center has the greatest potential for change in the future, and he considers it to be one of the most important resolutions Senate has passed this semester.
SG was approached early in the semester about the idea by UREC Director Laurie Braden, and SG passed the resolution to expand the UREC facilities after analyzing the student survey results, which indicated students were strongly in support of an expansion.
